A few of the unsolicited comments left by guests staying at the recently remodeled, Mineral Creek Cabin, which is our smallest and most "cabin like."
Sept 19, 2011 "Dear Wendy, What a wonderful tine we had at Summit Meadow Cabins! (Mineral Cr Cabin). It was just the perfect spot for our family. We loved feeling like we were in the middle of the woods yet we has such a cozy, comfy, place to come home to after exploring. We particularly enjoyed trail no 742 (not 724A0 along the Salmon River. Also we couldn't get enough of Trillium Lake. We hope to be able to get back here again. Thank you!"

Feb 24, 2012 "Another great weekend at the Mineral Cr Cabin. It snowed a foot! It was a winter wonderland here. Nice to come back to the cozy cabin after skiing and playing in the snow. Brief challenge of electricity going out for a few hours on Saturday, but we survived and stayed warm with the gas stove. We look forward to next years adventure."
Feb 29, 2012 "Another relaxing stay in Mineral Cr Cabin. We had 2 relatively clear days for snowshoeing and some spectacular Hood views. We'll be facing some fresh snowfall when we trek out (looks like 6-8 inches now), but it shouldn't;t be too hard acslog thanks to the stellar grooming job done yesterday. "

We had so much fun staying in the Mineral Creek Cabin! It is very cozy and clean. Our party was very happy and comfortable. We are looking forward to a visit in the same cabin next year! Wendy is a great hostess- she offers both help and privacy. Highly recommend this area and cabin!

ReplyDeleteA yearly re(Treat) staying in comfy,cozy,incredibly clean Mineral Creek cabin. As we easily pull our gear in on the complimentary pulk, I anticipate what fresh flower awaits in the vase on the table...just another special touch Wendy gives along with great information on hiking/snowshoeing adventures and supplying anything we may need for our stay. An Unparalleled 5 star experience..this year we are going twice, maybe a third time in the summer as a Family Retreat. I highly recommend the experience of staying at Summit Meadow Cabins!
ReplyDeleteSometimes with friends and sometimes with family, I've been staying in the various Summit Meadow cabins since 1991. Mostly we've done winter outings, though once we came in October and hope to again this year. This is a relatively short drive from Portland; its an adventure to pull the easily-handled sleds in (which are part of the package); the cabins are well-supplied and cozy in the wintry woods; and its perfect to be able to ski or snowshoe right from your door. Plus, Wendy is a great hostess, providing easy access via e-mail and any needed information. I definitely recommend the experience of Summit Meadow Cabin get-aways.
ReplyDeleteWe just finished our third year staying at Summit Meadows Cabins. Every year (same weekend) we ski in with a group of friends and have a wonderful time! The Meadow Chalet is great for our group and has a magnificent view of Mt Hood straight out the living room window. The cabin is very clean, warm and has everything you need other than food and clothing. The owners are great and very helpful with anything you need. We love that the cabin is ours every year, same weekend until we want to give it up. We refer to the weekend as TLF (Trillium Lake Forever) as we are never going to stop going. :)
